SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Neighborhood

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is alarmed in regards to the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated read more Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The assistance point developed for intervention activities a superior inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to allow the servicing of all consumers and improve usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
